Advertiser Terms

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These Advertiser Terms apply when a business uses its HOA Booster business account to advertise or publish offers in a community's newsletter or homeowner portal. They add to our Terms of Service, which also apply; if the two conflict about advertising, these Advertiser Terms control. "You" means the business and the people who use its business account. By booking an advertisement, you agree to these terms.

1. How Advertising Works

Each homeowners association or other community that uses HOA Booster (a "Community") decides whether to take advertising. Its board first approves your business as an advertiser, then approves each advertisement you book. Advertisements can run in a Community's newsletter (printed and emailed), in sponsor spots in its homeowner portal, and in its portal's Coupons & Specials section. Newsletter advertisements may also be shown in the portal's sponsor spots.

Advertising is shown to a Community as a whole. Everyone in the Community is shown the same set of advertisements; we do not target advertisements to individuals and we do not give you personal information about homeowners or residents, except details a homeowner chooses to send you (section 8). Where several advertisers share a portal spot or the Coupons section in a month, they take turns, and each Community sets how many advertisers can share a spot. Advertisements are not shown in a Community's transactional messages, such as notices, statements or violation letters.

2. Booking
3. Board Approval and the Deadline

The board must approve an advertisement by the 20th of the month before it starts. When you book, you choose what happens if it has not been approved by then: move the booking to the next month that is still open, keeping its length, or cancel it. A moved booking is priced at the Community's price at the time it is moved, and it still needs the board's approval. If the space is not available in the next open month, the booking is cancelled. The board may decline an advertisement; it gives a reason, nothing is charged, and you can change the advertisement and book again. You can follow each booking's status in your account.

4. Charges and Payment
5. Views and Clicks

A view or click is counted once per homeowner (or, where we cannot tell who it is, per internet address) per advertisement per day. Clicks that look automated or fraudulent are left out of every figure we report and bill against. Bookings sold by views are shown evenly through each month; views not delivered in one month carry over to the next month of the same booking. The number of views a Community is expected to deliver is an estimate based on its recent months, not a guarantee. Views that remain undelivered when a booking ends are not refunded or extended.

6. Cancelling, Removal and Refunds
7. Your Advertisements

Images must be JPG or PNG files of up to 15 MB, sized for the space you book, and links must go to a working web address. You are responsible for your advertisements, offers and the pages they link to, and you confirm that they:

You give HOA Booster and each Community that runs your advertisement permission to copy, resize and show it in the places you booked, including printed and emailed newsletters and the homeowner portal, for as long as needed to run it and keep records of it. A board's approval or our showing an advertisement does not mean the Community or HOA Booster endorses you or checks your claims.

8. Homeowner Details From Offers

Some offers let a homeowner choose to send you their name, email address or phone number, for example to claim a coupon or ask for a quote. A homeowner sees exactly what will be sent before it is sent, and sends it at most once per offer. When you receive these details, you must:

Your own privacy policy applies to the details once you receive them.

9. Reports

Your account shows figures for each advertisement, such as views, clicks, and how many newsletters carried it in print and by email. These are totals that do not identify anyone. They are provided as a guide; we work to keep them accurate but do not guarantee them.

10. Communities

A Community may receive a share of what advertisers pay to advertise with it. This does not change the price you pay. Each Community makes its own decisions about advertisers and advertisements, and HOA Booster is not responsible for them.

11. No Guarantee of Results

We do not promise any number of customers, sales, clicks or responses. Advertising is provided "as is," subject to the disclaimers in our Terms of Service. Printing, mail delivery and email delivery depend on outside services we do not control.

12. Liability and Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HOA Booster is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your advertising, and our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid us for advertising in the twelve months before the claim arose. You will defend and indemnify HOA Booster and the Communities that run your advertisements against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your advertisements, your offers, the pages they link to, your use of homeowner details, or your breach of these terms.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, tell business account holders by email or in the app. Changes do not affect the price or length of a booking the board has already approved.
